Performance Management and Analytics – Business Intelligence meets Business Process Management.
English – August 2009 – Version 6.0 is a comprehensive rework and extension of version 5.1 from March 2009. It describes business and technical architectures of Performance Management and Analytics. Performance Management is defined as a model enabling a business to continuously align business goals and processes and keeping them consistent. It works as a closed-loop model for managing the performance of operational, tactical and strategic business processes with support for planning, monitoring, and controlling. The infrastructure for business process management (BPM) and Performance Management is a service-oriented architecture (SOA). BPM and Performance Management on a SOA enable and empower automated, reliable, audit-proof, and flexible processes across business departments and even across enterprises. SOA based processes are independent of the underlying applications. Hence, business becomes agile and can change processes with the speed of market dynamics and customer needs. Finally, processes must be "intelligent". Through a SOA, analytical services can be embedded into processes. Analytics is key for planning, monitoring and controlling processes and their performance. The mission is: to identify problems in right time to take preventive actions. The result are early warning systems, a prerequisite for risk management.

Real-Time Enterprise IT Architektur
English – August 2003 – “Real-Time-Enterprise RTE”, volume 1 of the series "iBOND –intelligent Business on Demand" describes the streamlined IT-architecture, which is based on a traditional IT-architecture, and which develops it in an evolutionary way. Enterprises developing IT architectures will have to decide which basic platform to choose for this evolution and which additional best-of-breed-products will be required. The focus of this series of White Papers will be to assist any decisions in the described environment.

Integrated Solutions (iSO)
English – Ocobert 2004 – "iSOs", volume 3 version 2.0 of the series "iBond – intelligent Business on Demand". Business processes and business process management are the topics of this volume. Integrated Solutions have an important point in common: the goal is generating integration logic– not creating business logic. Integrated solutions are based on business processes, and business processes link existing back-end applications (standard software such as ERP, SCM, CRM, PLM, etc. as well as legacy applications) to portals and/or B2B solutions. Key target is the automation of existing business pro- cesses and their workflow, and to implement them in a way that any changes to busi- ness strategies can be carried over to changes of the underlying processes fast, flexibly, and dynamically. The result is the agile enterprise. Business processes are modelled by a BPM tool (Business Process Modelling). Techni- cally they are based on an EAI-tool. As EAI is the basis of a modern SOA (service- oriented architecture), integration solutions are also called “SOA-based business processes”. The task of iSOs is defined as integrating existing portal tools, EAI/BPM tools, and back-end applications via business processes to holistic solutions which create immediate added value to business management and the lines of business. Some vendors call iSOs “composite applications”, “compound applications”, or “xApplications”. These are terms which are equal to the “Integrated Solutions” – iSOs– this White Paper is about.

Process Management Portals
English – March 2006 – “Portals in a service oriented architecture (SOA)”, volume 4 of the series „iBonD - intelligent Business on Demand“. Process Management (PM) Portals present a new generation of portal technology. It is the human interface to SOA based business processes. SOA based processes are implemented by integrated solutions (iSOs, also called: composite applications) that we have already discussed in volume 3. PM Portals and Business Process Management converge. PM Portals put collaboration and presentation services in the context of collaborative teams and processes. They drive communication beyond the rules based process flows of integrated solutions. This version 2.0 replaces Version 1.0.1 from December 2005.
